bloomlife designs products and tools that help you understand how your body is preparing for labor and to track your progression on the big day.
Irrespective of which country you live in, you authorize us to use your information in, and as a result to transfer it to and store it in, the United States and any other country where bloomlife operates. Privacy and data protection laws in some of these countries may vary from the laws in the country where you live.
Collection and Use
In general, bloomlife uses your data to provide the service, to help you take the guesswork out of pregnancy and understand how your body is preparing for labor, and to improve and protect the Service. Additionally, we use the information we receive about you in the following ways:
Create a bloomlife Account
If you want to access data collected by your Device, you must create a bloomlife account. When you create a bloomlife account, we ask for your email address. Your email address will be your bloomlife account user name, which you will use to log-into your account. We do not display your email address to other users. Instead, others will see the name or nickname you enter in your profile settings. We may use your email address to send you information about the Service, to market to you, to help prevent spam, fraud, or abuse, and to help members of your birth team find your account. You may unsubscribe from a notification by following the instructions contained within the notification or the instructions on our website. You may not opt out of service-related emails that are considered necessary to providing you with the Service. Your continued use of the Service evidences your continued consent to receiving such service-related emails.
You can also create your bloomlife account using a different credential such as a Facebook or Google+ account. We will ask permission to access basic information from that account, such as your name, and friend list. You can stop sharing that information with us at any time by removing bloom’s access to that account. We will access your phone’s contact list for the purpose of letting you identify contacts who are bloomlife users. We do not store your phone’s contact list, and it is deleted immediately after it is used for this purpose.
Activate a Device
The Device can collect data about you such as the number of, frequency of, duration of and time between your contractions, your uterine activity (curve) and your heart rate. The device also collects the number of steps you make, your sleep duration, your sleep quality, your body position during sleep, your stress level, your cardiorespiratory fitness, baby movements, baby kicks and baby heart rate, and transmit this data to bloom. Data received by your Device about your health, wellness and pregnancy is transferred from your Device to our servers. This data is associated with your account and used to make inferences about your health and wellness,to provide and improve the bloomlife Service, and to develop future bloomlife products.
Provide Additional Information
You can customize your bloomlife experience by adding other types of information to your account, such as your height, weight, ethnicity, occupation, your level of physical activity, your due date, whether it’s your first pregnancy, if you already have children, if you’ve had a history or currently have gestational diabetes or gestational hypertension, and your name. Whenever you add this type of data, we collect it and store it in your bloomlife account. We will use this data to personalize your experience in using the Service, and for providing and improving the Service. Whenever you contact bloomlife for help, we collect your name and email address along with additional information you provide in your request so that we can provide you with assistance and improve the bloomlife Service. You can also contact bloomlife on public forums such as Twitter or Facebook; however, we cannot maintain the privacy of your communication to us if you contact us through these channels. Providing the additional information described in this section is entirely optional.
Transmit Log Data
Make a Purchase
You may provide your payment information, including your credit or debit card number, card expiration date, CVV code (collectively, “Payment Information”), along with your shipping address, to complete a commerce transaction through the Service. bloomlife does not view or store your Payment Information. Payment Information is handled by our third-party payment processor. We store your shipping address so we can process your order either directly or through our fulfillment partner. If you are logged into your bloomlife account when you purchase something on our Site, we associate that order with your bloomlife account.
Communicate with Members of your Birth Team
Activate Location Features
When you use the Service, bloomlife may collect and process information about your actual location. We use various technologies to determine location, including IP address, GPS, and other sensors that may for example, provide bloomlife with information on nearby devices, WiFi access points and cell towers. bloomlife only collects location data when the the Service is being used. We use this information to provide and improve the service, for example by being able to determine your time zone.
Third Parties and Affiliates
bloomlife may also ask you to participate in surveys (processed by bloomlife or third parties) that help us understand your use of the Service. Any information you provide to bloomlife (or supplied by you or bloomlife to such third-party survey providers) in connection with these surveys will only be used in relation to that survey and as stated in this policy.
Sharing and Disclosure
User Consent or Direction
We may share or disclose your information at your direction, such as when you consent to participate in a research study conducted by a third-party or use features of the Service that are intended to publicly share information, such as posting to a community bulletin board.

Non-Private or Non-Personal Information
We may share or disclose non-private, aggregated or otherwise non-personal information with third-party entities for the purpose of informing the health community about trends; for marketing and promotional use.
We store your PII for as long as you maintain a bloomlife account and the data serves a business purpose.
Accessing and Modifying Your Data
Data that you provide to bloomlife through the Service can be modified from your dashboard or bloomlife account preferences. If you remove data from your bloomlife account, it will no longer appear to you or others who use the bloomlife Service. Backups of that data may remain associated with your bloomlife account and in our archive servers.
You may also deactivate your bloomlife account by contacting customer support. When you do, data that can identify you will be removed from the bloomlife Service, including but not limited to your email, name, and occupation. Backup copies of this data will be removed from our server based upon an automated schedule, which means it may persist in our archive for a short period. bloomlife may continue to use your de-identified data after you deactivate your account.
bloom’s Policy Towards Children
The Service is intended for adult users over the age of 18. Thus, bloomlife does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we take steps to remove such information and terminate the child’s account. If you become aware that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at email@example.com .
bloomlife uses a combination of technical and administrative security controls to maintain the security of your data. If you have a security-related concern, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Please contact bloomlife immediately if you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure.
Does bloomLIFE Honor “Do Not Track” Signals?
Although we would like to honor the browsers set with a Do Not Track (“DNT”) signal, the Service does not currently respond to a DNT or similar signals as it awaits the results of efforts by the policy and legal community to determine the meaning of DNT and the proper way to respond.
